Snack Shack: Expanding Support for Students

The PTA-sponsored IVE Snack Shack operates every school day, providing about 5,000 free snacks each year to ensure students have something to eat when they need it. Snacks are available directly to students and accessible for teachers to offer as needed — quietly supporting focus, learning, and wellbeing. The Snack Shack is located in the IVE main office, and students and teachers can stop by any time during the day to grab what they need.

Recent growth and expansions

With changes in available food resources in 2025, Snack Shack has expanded to include take-home food to supplement other supports. Students in need receive items such as oatmeal, applesauce, cereal and pasta. Expanding access to food remains a top priority of the IVE PTA — and we can only continue and grow this program with the help of community donations and volunteers.
