All About Trunk or Treat at IVE:

Trunk or Treat is the IVE PTA's biggest community event of the year, with hundreds of costumed students and their families visiting the school parking lot to trick or treat at decorated cars and visit the Trail of Treats at Dodd Field next to the school. The event starts at 6 p.m. and usually wraps up around 7:30 p.m. (or sooner if candy runs out). 

Get involved

There are lots of ways for your family to get involved! Opportunities include:

• Donate candy for the event. Candy monsters will be accepting donations in the school lobby starting on October 3. Drop off a bag or two and help keep this event affordable for families!
• Sign up to host a trunk. Decorate your car, wear a costume and help us make this a special night for IVE students!
• Help us set up the Trail of Treats attraction on Dodd Field the morning and afternoon of Trunk or Treat. Students will make their way along the trail, collecting treats as they go.
• Help staff the Trail of Treats during the event. We need costumed volunteers to oversee activities and help traffic flow efficiently all along the trail. 
• Help clean up after the event. Clean up at Trunk or Treat is challenging in the dark, and we need all the help we can get! Please consider staying after the event to help tear down the Trail of Treats and clean up the parling lot.

Trunk or Treat is a free community event paid for by the IVE PTA and coordinated entirely by volunteers. To ensure that we are able to continue offering free events and in-school programs, we ask event attendees to consider making a small donation to support our work in the school. The IVE PTA's budget is mostly comprised of small donations from members of our extended community.
