Community Outreach

The Community Outreach Program organizes events that promote student and family participation in community service projects and donation drives. We partner with programs such as the IVE Angel Program and the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank to ensure we are doing our best to meet the needs of our local families while introducing philanthropy to our students and empowering them to make a difference in their community.

Past Programs

No-Sew Blanket Drive Benefiting Project Linus

As part of IVE PTA's community outreach efforts, we supported Project Linus with a No-Sew Blanket Drive. This family-friendly community service project was a great opportunity to encourage our IVE students to embrace their creativity, show compassion and empower them to make a difference in their community.

Holiday Gift Barn

Each December, Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank turns the Pickering Barn into a giant department store filled with new toys, games, clothing and other special items donated by the community. Parents who need extra help this season are able to shop for free and choose the perfect gifts for each of their children.

The IVE community has participated many years by hosting a toy drive and contributing to the program.

Eastside Baby Corner Winter Wishlist

Eastside Baby Corner "helps the helpers" by working directly with qualified social services providers to get them what they need to help vulnerable kids and families. During the winter holidays, EBC provides requests donations of various toys through their Winter Wishlist.

Lunch for the Break

Prior to each major school break (December, February, April), the PTA partners with Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank to ensure that all students have a healthy balance of food while school is close. The program provides a week's worth of free grocery items for students to be able to prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks for themselves.
