Spring Book Fair is Coming!

IVE is having their buy-one get-one free book fair from March 10th to March 14th. We will be having another wonderful family event on Wednesday the 12th at 5:30. Our theme for this event is Happy St. Patrick's Day! You can come in green from head to toe, you can come Irish, or you can come as a leprechaun. Let your imagination go wild! IVE Culture Night

The IVE PTA is excited to announce a new event this spring designed to bring together our global community – the first IVE culture night. You’ll be able to view cultural exhibits and entertainment from different countries in the multipurpose room.

We are looking for families/volunteers to set up cultural/ethnic displays representing either your own background or one that may be of interest to your family. Do you have any information you would like to share on any of the traditions/holidays/celebrations from any country? Or maybe you have traveled to another country and have brought back items that you would love to share. You DO NOT have to be from another country to be involved. There is NO set criterion for what needs to be included in a booth. Some display ideas are: art and crafts, foods, brochures, posters, clothing, maps, flags, currency, games, toys, musical instruments, handiwork, and photos. Special crafts such as Calligraphy, Origami, Henna hand painting etc., can be wonderful additions too. (Foods must not require refrigeration and not contain nuts due to food allergies.) The culture night committee welcomes Elementary, Middle and High School students and teachers to display any project that is relevant to a particular culture.

We are also looking for groups or individuals to perform on stage and invite clubs or organizations to participate or demonstrate a skill. We would like to welcome any of our students who may know a cultural dance or song etc. to perform on stage.
