IVE’s Science Fair Night

March 25, 2011 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Science Fair continues to grow at IVE. This year, the Pacific Science Center will be at Science Fair Night leading exciting hands on demonstrations. We will also be including an optional competitive category for scientists in grades 3 -5.

Based on feedback from last year, we are adding an optional competitive entry for students in grades 3 -5. Students, entering the competitive category, will be required to fill out a scientific investigation sheet and be present for judging on March 24. A panel of judges will evaluate each competitive entry. Awards for each grade level will be announced at Science Fair Night. Guidelines for competitive entries will be available at board pick up as well as on the PTA website.

We will also have a participant entry for grades K-2 as well as any student in grades 3-5 who do not wish to submit a competitive project. All students in the participant category will have their boards displayed at the science fair.

During board pick up, students will fill out an entry form indicating which category they wish to participate in. We are excited to add this new element to the Science Fair.
